Sunshine Coast University Accommodation

by Brendon on June 8, 2010

We’ve just launched a new site for Sunshine Coast University accommodation.

What a great place the Sunshine Coast would be to study.

A modern university in a great environment, safe and secure accommodation close by, tons of other young people to meet.

The list goes on.

Makes me wish I was 18 ago, but that ship sailed quarter of a century ago.  Bugger.

Nice Use Of Social Networking

The site makes nice use of social networking with quite a bit of interaction on the site, as well as Facebook being integrated in.

Interstate Removals Makes Right Call

by Brendon on April 1, 2010

We’ve just launched a site for a guy who does interstate removals.  With a bit of luck, he managed to buy the domain name interstateremovals.com.au.

I always encourage people to buy the generic, word match domain name if at all possible for 2 main reasons:

  • Great branding – if you won the generic domain name (like I do with Eczema.com.au) then you’ll be more likely to be perceived as a credible site
  • Keyword matched domain names get a bit of a boost in Google – that is, if you search for interstate removals, then www.interstateremovals.com.au is more likely to come up

Sure, it might cost you a fair bit to get hold of that great domain name, but long term the benefits are usually worth it.

Created Diamonds As Good As The Real Thing

by Brendon on March 1, 2010

We’ve been helping out a client get noticed with her created diamonds site.

I ran past the idea of these sort of diamonds as a substitute for real diamonds with my wife and she wasn’t so sure.

Could you tell the difference between these created diamonds and ‘normal’ diamonds.

And if you could, would you care – because you save thousands of $$$?

South Coast Track Adventure Up & Away

by Brendon on March 1, 2010

I’ve just finished writing up a trip away to the South Coast Track.

My 2 sons and I (along with my brother-in-law) tackled this wonderful 84 km, 7 day bushwalk in early January.

The site includes lots of photos from the walk, along with information on flights into Melaleuca (the start), gear recommendations and much more.

Quick Update About This Site

by Brendon on February 24, 2010

I get quite a few visitors to this site searching for me.

Which is terrific……but I don’t really use this site as my main site.

I generally use www.tailored.com.au as my main web site and integrate in my Twitter account, blog and more over there.

I use this site for little bits and pieces, but nothing too detailed.

And to those people who email me bitching and pissing and moaning that this site doesn’t have much content for you to help you build your business, 2 things:

  1. Stop bitching, you ain’t paying me ;o)
  2. Most of the info is at www.tailored.com.au.

2 Other Little Adventures

You can check out what else I’ve been doing in my spare time at the Tasmanian Motorbike Tour site and the across Australia bike ride site I did.

Why A Guy Will Be Hugely Successful In Business

by Brendon on February 8, 2010

I met a guy last week who has just started up his own business.

Within 10 minutes of chatting with him I knew he’ll make a huge success of his business.

It’s because he has a difference.

The difference is this: he’s building a brand, not just a business.

He understands what a brand is.

He knows that building a brand will make his business boom.

Is your business just a job for you?  Or are you building a business AND a brand?

Motorcycle Hire Tasmania

by Brendon on December 9, 2009

On my recent motorcycle trip around Tasmania I hired my motorcycles from my new mate Ian at Moto Adventure in Hobart.

Ian then had the good sense to have us do his new web site – check it out at www.motoadventure.com.au.

If you’re ever look for motorcycle hire in Tasmania, then give Ian a yell.

Accommodation Reviews for Specific Locations

by Brendon on December 1, 2009

Recently launched a series of sites offering reviews of accommodation (hotels, motels, resorts) in specific locations around Australia.

Each one of these accommodation review sites has some information about the specific location, a list of the top resorts in that area, and information on restuarants, dining and fun activities in the region.

The idea is to help you find the best accommodation in an area, and a list of fun things to do while you’re there.  Helpful in planning that perfect get-away?

by Brendon on November 30, 2009

Just launched a nice new site for a rocking chair retailer.

These Glider Chairs are just about the most comfortable chair you’ll ever sit in – amazingly comfortable and when you buy direct you save.

Pilates Gold Coast Challenge

by Brendon on September 18, 2009

I’ve just started pilates here on the Gold Coast.

I always thought pilates was an easy stretch or 2…..um, no!

Pilates is a very tough workout – one of the tougher ones I’ve done.

We also did up Dina’s pilates Gold Coast site – check her out if you’re after a brilliant and very professional pilates teacher.
